Red the Rooster	?	N/A	Unsure, April or May 2006	June 4, 2009	We thought he was a hen for the longest time. Red was one of our friendliest chicks; always sat on Paul's shoulder (and, inadvertantly while swooping for a bug, pecked Paul in the eye once). Nearly died from a predator attack, had a large hole in his back skin but healed well and outlived the many other roosters in the first batch. He finally died after being ill for a few days.
Squeak	Silver Phoenix?	small, glossy, off-white; daily when not broody	Unsure, April or May 2006	June 6, 2008 (sick?)	Squeaky was our only remaining hen from the first batch of chickens. Named for her very loud squawking as a chick. She was basically friendly, very broody, and dominant over all the other hens despite her being the tiniest (until they cast her out). Best flier. Front half of her comb leaned left; we called it the 'comb over'.
Beardo	Ameraucana	medium, matte, blue-green; every other day	July 25, 2006 (Ideal Poultry)	July 23, 2007 (fox?)	A very friendly bird. We thought she would be a rooster til she laid her first blue egg. Somewhat neurotic, she liked staring into corners. Sometimes picked on by the others.
Tenderfoot	Ameraucana	medium-large, matte, green-blue to olive;every other day	July 25, 2006 (Ideal Poultry)	N/A	Larger than Beardo. When she was small, Paul said her feet felt soft, hence her name.
Black and Tan	Black Star? Was ordered as Black Jersey Giant but isn't	extra large, semi-glossy, brownish-pink (white specks show through); daily	July 25, 2006 (Ideal Poultry)	April 14, 2009 (unknown; found dead in coop)	Our largest hen, laid extra large brownish-pink eggs.
Minty	Black Star? Was ordered as Black Jersey Giant but isn't	large, semi-glossy, light pinkish brown (white specks show through); daily	July 25, 2006 (Ideal Poultry)	August 7, 2007 (cull; bad leg injury from fox attack on August 4, 2007 with no improvement. Fortunately, Paul got the fox!)	2nd largest hen, has a nice green sheen and lays very light pink eggs.
